So silver isn’t probably very easy to pull off and I’m definitely going to get few odd glances when I wear my recently purchased metallic silver leggings from H&M but I’m loving it. Paired with pastels to counteract the futuristic they can end up looking soft and pretty. I even think its cool on your nails. What do you think?

Winter florals

I don’t know what it is but I’m feeling the florals of late. It’s definitely not the frosty weather we’re having so I’ve decided to call it the Mary Katrantzou affect. I’m suddenly lusting for blooming floral pieces. But unlike seasons before its skirts with structure, androgynous blazers in pretty prints and florals with a hint of edge that I’m drawn too.

On a day like today, roses, daisies or lilies are just a dream away but at least we have fashion to keep us reminded that spring is near. This outfit certainly put a smile on my face. Oh how I wish I was in Sydney wearing a floral skirt like this girl.

Chloe Moretz is 14! Yes 14 I said. That’s ten years younger than me! WOW! When I was fourteen I was wearing adidas rip-offs and more concerned about my barbie collection than my collection of designer wear (ok maybe not).

I admit it, I have style envy over a child. I love this look in particular. The printed trouser (or legging) is a massive trend. Make sure you tone down the rest of your outfit to avoid looking messy.

She’s definitely one to watch.

You might know this already about me but I have an unhealthy adoration (slight obsession) for Miroslava Duma. She’s just fab (look at that hair)! The Russian fashion writer is famous for mixing up more pretty, colourful pieces with harder, edgier ones. Here’s a perfect example of working a basic work shirt with a flirty leatherette skirt. She then rightly accessorizes with a bright, statement necklace and animal print pumps.

How cool is this hair? Dip dye has been around for a while now but shows no sign of getting the chop! I love the shade of blonde gradually going into the pink but its no doubt one of those looks that you will look back on in five or even less years and say to yourself, what the hell was I thinking? Who cares!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- I love Rachel Bilson’s effortless style. In my opinion she is underrated as she most always dresses her petite frame just right.

The combo of the floral buttoned-up blouse and perfectly tapered pant in a daring burnt orange is right for this event. To finish off the look Rachel wears a leopard print shoe adding just enough of a hint of sexiness.
